Every year we renew the fleet to offer a brutal experience with maximum comfort and safety. Now, once the season is over in Barcelona, and from the port of Badalona, Seariders takes stock of our Jetski models taking into account both the assessment of our instructors and our customers. Once we have gathered their impressions we see division, although also a slight tendency towards the GTI model, but… why?
Technically, what is the difference?
The Seadoo GTI 130 ’20 has a displacement of 1,494 cc, with a weight of 359 kg distributed over a length of 336.8 cm and a width of 123.1 cm. The fuel tank capacity is 60 liters. All of this is supported by the classic GTITM Hull of moderate V-shaped fiberglass, which gives it high resistance, as well as flexibility and agility in different conditions. It ends with a glove box with 6.6 liters of capacity.
As for the Seadoo GTX 130 ’22 its displacement is 1,630 cc, with a total weight of 356 kg, distributed in a length of 345.1 cm and a width of 125.5 cm. A 70-liter fuel tank, and a 2.9-liter glove box. The new ST3 HullTM helmet fiberglass, which due to its design offers greater stability under any circumstances, as well as making it predictable, without surprises.
Once the technical analysis is done, the position of our clients is better understood. Many come with speed in mind, and the new models of jet skis prioritize comfort over power.
While the top speed is the same, the difference in displacement, but with the same horsepower, gives the GTI greater acceleration off the line. However, the most important and noticeable difference is the hull. The GTX has a design that allows it to displace more water, thus increasing its stability. This makes it suitable for all kinds of conditions: both in rough seas and when carrying passengers; while, in the GTI, its design allows for greater maneuverability, well exploited by the extra torque.
In short, both jet skis cover the variability presented by consumers. Both for an entertaining and safe ride, as well as for a sportier and more exciting drive.
